Magic papaya DIY face mask with Honey and Baobab
There are a few “under the radar” ingredients that your skin is craving! PAPAYA, HONEY, and BAOBAB are absolutely underrated ingredients when it comes to clear, brighten and radiant skin, no matter what skin color tone you have!
Let’s see what is the superpower of each of these gems.
Papayas is originally a Mexican fruit, but it grows naturally in the Caribbean and Florida also. Its sweet taste, vibrant color, and a wide variety of health benefits make it a skin-nourishing ingredient that we love at Cardoon. It contains papain, a natural enzyme that promotes skin renewal and cell turnover, and indeed not only a fantastic exfoliator but is an important ingredient in skin whitening.
HONEY (Raw, unpasteurized)
Honey has fantastic moisturizing properties, and also makes the skin calm with its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, also heals wounds and small skin scars. You might be surprised, but honey is also a deep cleanser, opens the pores, and helps papaya to go deeper and clear the skin!
The use of Baobab goes back centuries in skincare routines. Referred as the fruit of the tree of life it is one of the most powerful antioxidants and Vitamin C powerhouse on Earth! Therefore it also helps increase collagen and elastin production, and keep the skin youthful. Here you can find more information about the amazing benefits of our Baobab.
So, what if you blend these 3 magic ingredients, papaya, baobab, and honey?
This DIY facial mask will help remove the dead skin cells, active proteins and complete the skin rejuvenation. You will treat your dehydrated, dull, and aging skin!
How to prepare it?
In a small bowl or saucer, mash or juice a piece of papaya (2 teaspoons). Add 1 teaspoon of raw honey and 1 teaspoon of our Baobab skin-nourishing powder to the papaya. If you don’t have Baobab at home, shop ours HERE, or alternatively, you can use a few lemon drops instead of the baobab. Mix all 3 ingredients together and apply the paste to your face, neck, and chest area. Leave it on for 20 min. If the mask is too liquidy, add ground oatmeal to it. (It will just double down on exfoliation, cleansing, and soothing :))
Repeat this mask twice a week for 6 weeks and you will be absolutely pleased with the result!
Love and glow,
Aggie & Reka
